University of Lynchburg is seeking applicants for Videographer. This position will be responsible for all aspects of video production including meeting with constituents to determine their communications needs, developing concepts and script content, and shooting and editing to produce videos that serve client needs and reinforce the Lynchburg brand to internal and external audiences.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited university or college, or a relevant industry certification, or a combination of education and experience may be substituted. Must have three to five years of experience operating SLRs (single lens reflex), video cameras, sound recording equipment, composing sequential shots, editing; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop, and professional video editing software (Avid, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro); experience with digital workflows for images and videos; knowledge of live streaming platforms such as Limelight, YouTube, Google+ Hangouts; and knowledge of best practices for use of video, broadcast production techniques and standards, proper file storage and archiving. Selected candidate must successfully pass a background check that is satisfactory to the University.
University of Lynchburg has an opening for a Payroll Coordinator in the Human Resources department. This is a full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 12 month position, with competitive benefits. This position is responsible for the administration of payroll accounting for the University. Coordinates the preparation and processing of the University’s exempt, non-exempt, and student payroll records; coordinates the preparation and filing of payroll tax returns and retirement benefits remittances; and assists in maintaining fiscal salary budgets.
The successful candidate must have five years progressively responsible experience in large-scale, computerized payroll preparation. Additional bookkeeping and/or accounting experience preferred. Previous experience with payroll software applications desirable. Must be able to communicate effectively within a university/college campus environment. Must also be accurate, self-motivated, dependable, possess good organizational skills and must maintain confidentiality of financial and personnel information. Selected candidate must successfully pass a background and credit check that is satisfactory to the University.
