New England Public Radio (WFCR and WNNZ) seeks a creative, motivated reporter/producer to host Morning Edition. In addition to hosting regular newscasts, the host will produce high-quality spots, two-ways and features about events, issues and people in western New England. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer and reporter with a conversational, authoritative on-air presence.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with four years of experience as a radio or television reporter or program host. Excellent communication and language skills and judgment in evaluating and handling news and public information. Ability to: research, report, write, edit, produce and voice high-quality spot and feature material consistent with public radio styles and standards; travel to locations and sources of news stories; work as part of a team; work hours outside the normal business day; work under deadlines.
Salary: $41,900 - $57,800 (normal starting salary $41,900 - $52,500). Excellent benefits.
