VISIT FLORIDA, the official tourism marketing organization for the state of Florida, is looking for a Video Editor to lead a visual storytelling program that drives awareness for and engagement with the Florida tourism brand. This position, in concert with the Senior Editor, will provide creative inspiration and quality control while managing a statewide network of videographers. Reflecting the ascension of video content as the most important form of content in the digital marketplace, the Video Editor will regularly refresh and repurpose VISIT FLORIDA assets while keeping current with the latest production and storytelling methods as well as video consumption data.
You would be working with editors who have 60-plus years of newspaper and digital experience, in particular with the Tampa Bay (St. Petersburg) Times and Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel. VISIT FLORIDA has built a network of 100 journalists and influencers, including a Pulitzer Prize winner, who write, film and photograph stories about Florida destinations and experiences.
VISIT FLORIDA publishes 300-400 stories annually in five languages on multiple platforms. In the fiscal year 2016-17, these stories attracted more than 170 million views.
