We are looking for experienced journalists to join our team as we launch a product that is going to change the way millions of people get health information when they need it most. This is a fantastic opportunity for a writer who is passionate about creating highly intelligent, short form content in the health space.
The key skill we are looking for is the abililty to quickly absorb, synthesize, and translate complex information for a regular consumer audience. We are creating an ultra-high quality product. Thoughtful, conversational prose and extraordinary attention to facts and detail are a requirement. A large degree of empathy and a passion for medicine and science will also be very relevant in this role.
About us:SurvivorNet is creating the gold standard consumer resource for information about cancer. We are solving a very specific problem for millions of people and have the participation of some of the country's leading cancer centers, oncologists, and researchers. Our founding team has run major national news outlets on television and the internet as well as developed some of the most exciting new modalities in cancer treatment.

This is primarily an on site job, though some remote work may be possible. We want to make sure you can spend significant time in our headquarters, which is located in New York's Soho neighborhood.
